Lightspeed Classroom – Teachers

Overview

Lightspeed Classroom Management is a K-12 classroom management platform that gives teachers real-time visibility into student activity on district devices. Teachers can use Lightspeed Classroom to help reduce distractions, guide student activity, and support an engaging digital classroom environment.

Available classroom management features include viewing student activity, pushing approved URLs to students, closing distracting tabs, blocking inappropriate websites, and screen sharing.

How to Access

Go to the Lightspeed Classroom Management Login .
Enter your PBSD email address.
Select Continue.
Select Continue with Google.
Sign in using your PBSD Google account.
After signing in, you will be directed to My Classes.

Login Information: Teachers should use their PBSD email address and select Continue with Google to sign in using their PBSD Google account.

Managing Your Classes

After signing in, select My Classes to view the classes available to your account.

Open My Classes.
Select the class you want to manage.
Use the available Lightspeed Classroom tools to manage and guide student activity.

Classroom Management Features

Depending on the features available to your account, Lightspeed Classroom can be used to:

View student activity on district devices
Push approved URLs to students
Close distracting browser tabs
Block inappropriate or distracting websites
Use screen sharing for classroom instruction and collaboration

Tip: Select the appropriate class before using classroom management tools to make sure you are managing the correct group of students.

Lightspeed provides additional resources, tutorials, and step-by-step guides to help teachers learn how to use Lightspeed Classroom.

Classroom Help Portal

Sign in to Lightspeed Classroom.
Locate the ? icon within the Classroom application.
Select the ? icon to open the Help Portal.
Use the available resources, including the Lightspeed Learning Lab and Teacher HQ.

Common Issues

Unable to Sign In

Verify that you entered your PBSD email address.
Select Continue with Google when prompted.
Verify that you are using your PBSD Google account.
Sign out of personal Google accounts and try again.
If the issue continues, contact Technology Support.

Class Is Missing

Verify that you are signed in using the correct PBSD Google account.
Check My Classes for the expected class.
If an expected class is not available, contact Technology Support for assistance.

Important: Teachers should only use Lightspeed Classroom with the classes and students assigned to them and in accordance with district expectations for classroom management.
