Overview
Power Spelling is an English Language Arts (ELA) resource used by Plum Borough School District in grades K–4. The district currently maintains 130 licenses through the Power Spelling Plus package.
Teachers and students sign in to Power Spelling using their PBSD Google accounts. Teachers can also connect Power Spelling with Google Classroom to roster their students.

How to Access
- Go to the Power Spelling Login Page .
- Select the option to sign in using Google.
- Sign in using your PBSD Google account.
- After signing in, you will be directed to your Power Spelling account.
Login Information: Teachers and students should sign in to Power Spelling using their PBSD Google account.

Teachers can use Power Spelling's onboarding and training resources to learn how to set up and use the platform in their classroom.

Rostering Students with Google Classroom
Teachers can roster students in Power Spelling by linking their Google Classroom classes.
- Sign in to Power Spelling using your PBSD Google account.
- Locate the option to connect or roster a class using Google Classroom.
- Sign in to Google using your PBSD Google account if prompted.
- Select the appropriate Google Classroom class.
- Follow the Power Spelling prompts to complete the roster connection.
Tip: Using Google Classroom for student rostering helps teachers connect their existing classes and students with Power Spelling.
Student Resources
Students should sign in to Power Spelling using their PBSD Google account. Once their teacher has rostered their class, students can access the Power Spelling activities and resources assigned to them.

Common Issues
Unable to Sign In
- Verify that you are using your PBSD Google account.
- Sign out of any personal Google accounts and try again.
- Close and reopen Google Chrome.
- Return to the Power Spelling login page and sign in again using Google.
Student or Class Is Missing
- Verify that the correct Google Classroom class was linked to Power Spelling.
- Confirm that the student is enrolled in the appropriate Google Classroom.
- If the class or student is still missing, contact Technology Support.
Important: Power Spelling is licensed for grades K–4. The district currently maintains 130 licenses through the Power Spelling Plus package.
