ActivePanel 10 – End-User Information

Overview

The new ActivePanel 10 utilizes a Chromebox as its primary platform for accessing applications and managing interactive features.

This setup provides an improved experience similar to previous Promethean boards but with enhanced integration and access through Chrome OS.

Available Promethean Applications

Once your setup is complete, you’ll have access to the following Promethean applications:

• Promethean

• Promethean Annotate

• Promethean Screen Share

• Promethean Spinner

• Promethean Timer

Account and License Setup

To utilize these applications, you will need an active Promethean account and a license assigned to you.

1. Request an account by submitting a ticket to techsupport@pbsd.net.

2. The Technology Department will:

   • Create your Promethean account.

   • Assign the necessary license.

3. Once your account has been created, you will receive an email notification from Technology confirming that your Promethean account is ready.

Installing Promethean Applications

1. Log into your Chromebox connected to your Promethean Board.

2. Open the Google Play Store.

3. You’ll see the available Promethean applications listed for download.

4. Download and install each application.

5. When first launching the applications:

   • Allow required permissions on the Chromebox.

   • Sign in once using your Google account to activate the apps.

Using a Whiteboard

If you want to use a whiteboard without launching Promethean Annotate:

1. Open the Google Chrome browser on your Promethean Board.

2. Click on the PBSD.net Bookmarks folder.

3. Select Promethean Resources → Explain Everything Whiteboard.

This provides a quick and easy whiteboard option directly from your browser.
