XtraMath – Teachers & Students

Modified on Sun, 9 Aug at 9:01 AM

Overview

XtraMath is a math practice application that teachers and students can access through the PBSD Clever Portal.

XtraMath is available through the Clever Library. Teachers must add XtraMath to their Clever dashboard before students can access the application.

Important: XtraMath is a Clever Library application, not a Secure Sync application. Teachers must install XtraMath individually through Clever. The district cannot automatically push XtraMath to teacher dashboards.

Teacher Setup – Add XtraMath to Clever

Before students can access XtraMath, the teacher must first add XtraMath to their Clever dashboard.

  1. Go to the  PBSD Clever Portal .
  2. Sign in using your PBSD Google account.
  3. From Clever, select Resources.
  4. Search the Clever Library for XtraMath (Single Sign-On).
  5. Select XtraMath and follow the prompts to add the application to your Clever dashboard.
  6. Complete the XtraMath setup and select the appropriate Clever class or classes.

Teacher Setup Required: Students will only see XtraMath after their teacher has added XtraMath (Single Sign-On) through the Clever Library and completed the appropriate class setup.

Student Login Instructions

Once the teacher has added and configured XtraMath through Clever, students can access the application from their Clever dashboard.

  1. Go to the  PBSD Clever Portal .
  2. Sign in using your PBSD student account.
  3. Scroll through the applications available on your Clever dashboard.
  4. Locate the XtraMath icon.
  5. Select the XtraMath icon to open the application and begin working.

Students: If you do not see XtraMath on your Clever dashboard, let your teacher know. Your teacher should verify that XtraMath has been added and that you are included in the correct Clever class.

Checking Student Rosters

If a student does not appear in XtraMath, teachers should verify that the student is enrolled in the Clever class selected during the XtraMath setup process.

To verify students in Clever:

  1. Open Clever.
  2. Go to My Students > Student Roster.
  3. Under Filter by Class, select the class that is connected to XtraMath.
  4. Review the students listed in the class.
  5. Students listed in the selected Clever class should appear in XtraMath.

Class Changes & Student Progress

Teachers should use caution when changing Clever class settings after students have started using XtraMath.

Important: Changes made to a Clever class after students have started using XtraMath can impact student progress in XtraMath. Review your class and roster carefully before making changes.
