Overview

TeachTown is an educational application designed to support the development of students in special education. TeachTown is integrated with Clever for rostering and Single Sign-On (SSO), allowing PBSD teachers and students to access the platform through the PBSD Clever Portal.

Audience

  • Teachers
  • Students

How to Access

Teachers and students access TeachTown through the PBSD Clever Portal.

  1. Go to the  PBSD Clever Portal .
  2. Select Log in with Google.
  3. Sign in using your PBSD Google account if prompted.
  4. After signing in, scroll through the applications available on your Clever dashboard until you locate TeachTown.
  5. Select the TeachTown icon to access the application.

Login Information: TeachTown uses Clever Single Sign-On (SSO). Teachers and students should access TeachTown through the PBSD Clever Portal using their PBSD Google account.

Student Licensing

Students must have the appropriate TeachTown license assigned before they can access licensed TeachTown content.

Teachers are responsible for assigning the appropriate TeachTown license to students who need access.

Important: Being rostered through Clever does not necessarily mean that a student has been assigned a TeachTown license. Teachers should verify that the appropriate license has been assigned to the student.

Assigning a License to a Student

Teachers who need to provide a student with access to TeachTown content should assign the appropriate license from within TeachTown.

  1. Sign in to TeachTown through the PBSD Clever Portal.
  2. Locate the student who needs TeachTown access.
  3. Follow the TeachTown license assignment instructions to assign the appropriate license to the student.
  4. Verify that the student can access the appropriate TeachTown content.

Tip: If a student can sign in to TeachTown but cannot access the expected content, verify that the student has been assigned the appropriate TeachTown license.
